Some pics!

Here is a new purchase for that baby's room, we are thinking about hanging it over the doorway!

Here is a picture of Neal and I from Erin's wedding a couple of weekends ago, I was a reader in her wedding and when I had to get up to read in front of everyone, she started doing flip-flops and somersaults because I was so nervous!!! haha!
Here is a recent "bump" picture!

Things are going well, Neal and I officially joined Church of the Resurrection today! So, we are excited about that, it was a good step for us. This is Neal's last week of nights (yeah!) and then he switches to the ER. We finally got the closet in the nursery all cleaned out, just need to add another clothes bar for all her clothes and then we can start hanging them.

OMG, 98 days left!

Here we are at 26 weeks! I can't believe the ticker says 98 days until her due date, wow, it is weird to be in the double digits. Things are going well, I am starting to get a little more tired and moving a little slower but still feeling really good! I am feeling ready to get going more on her room, we still have a lot to do! Got the invite for my first shower, I am really excited about it.

Week 25!

Here is the info from the bump.com: Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

Well, we still have not been able to hear her with a stethoscope yet so don't know if Neal just listening would be able to hear anything! I feel like she is packing on some pounds because I SURE AM! yikes!

We have sorta stalled on her room, trying to make decisions about what to put on the walls, I am thinking of hanging letters of her name above the crib with ribbon and then some prints or shelves above the dresser but the thing we need to do the MOST is clean out her closet and get the room organized, her clothes are overflowing from everywhere!

Neal has been on nights which has been pretty rough for him, basically sleeping and working with no time for fun! He has a couple days off at the end of the month which will be nice for him. But, still when he gets home in the morning he puts his hand on my belly and she gives him a nice big kick! Sorta funny! I am in a friend's wedding this weekend which should be lots of fun and I will get to see old KU friends!

24 weeks! Yeah!

I am so excited to be at 24 weeks! It means viability for the baby if she happened to come early, but let's hope and pray that she stays cooking for several more months!!!! It feels like such a relief to get this far for some reason and makes me start to think, "oh my gosh" there is really going to be a baby here soon! I have been feeling good, plenty of energy but recently this week got a nasty head cold that has made me a bit more tired and stuffed up and I really can't take anything but Tylenol for it...she is moving a ton, still mostly in the morning or at night when I am trying to get to sleep, some pretty sharp ones to the ribs too! I LOVE feeling her move/kick/hit.

Here is the info from babycenter.com for 24 weeks:

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts her at just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), she cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world. Her skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

My mom and I went down to Wichita last Friday so I could peruse my favorite baby store, Marshmallow Kisses and also have lunch with some old co-workers (who I miss so much!).

Here is her first monogram outfit!

Here is a cute outfit that g-ma Harken got for her! I am sure that she will be an angel if she is anything like me....haha!

The wings button on....

Here are a couple of things from my co-workers, we LOVE the booties and angel! My co-worker is a die hard KSU fan so it was pretty hard for her to buy these!!! But we are glad she did!!!

Also, she gave me a ton of her girls outgrown clothes, they are pretty much 12-24mos, so we are getting set on her wardrobe! It was so nice of her, she also gave me a few pre-natal workout videos. I need to give those a try since it is still too cold here for long walks!

Here are are gifts from the baby shower that Neal's residency had for us last weekend, plus an awesome gift card to Target!

We are feeling so blessed and lucky to have such an amazing support system of family, friends and co-workers!!!!

Moving right along...

From the the bump: Weeks 21-24 (Month 5): Papaya. Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. The little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Rock Chalk! Go KU! Getting her started listening to KU games, now that she can hear them!

Here is one of Neal's favorite additions to the nursery, he already put some change in it...I have a feeling it is going to need a lot of change!
