2 Months and Shots =(

Here we are at the Dr's, waiting for our 2 month appointment and shots! I look tired, but don't know why because Neal got up with her the night before so I could get a whole night of uninterrupted sleep! Isn't he wonderful?

Here are Neal and Blakely...both so cute!
Here she is after her shots, she slept in her carseat for a few hours...she never sleeps in there, so it must have been the shots!

Speaking of shots, here is her cute little band aid where she got some of her shots...she did really well, she cried afterwards for just a bit...but slept most of the day and when she did wake up was fussing and had a fever. We both said that it was not her normal cry and could tell that she was not feeling well...my poor baby girl!
Her are her pics in her 2 month onesie!

What a cute expression! She is making ALL kinds of faces these days.

Her we are getting ready for KU football to start this fall...

and this should help too! A cute KU cheerleading outfit from her Uncle Kyle! So cute.

Neal's Pawpaw came by the other night to meet Blakely and brought her this sweet little rocking chair that has been in Neal's family for over 150 years...
Here is a picture of four generations of Ansons....

Blakely looking at Mommy while Daddy reads her nighttime story..

I didn't think it was possible but, Blakely just keeps getting cuter each day and we are having so much fun! She is making tons of facial expressions and noises...I think we might even have the beginnings of some laughs! She did so well at her Dr's appt, she weighed 14 lbs 9 oz and 24 inches, which around 97% for both! She was holding her head up high and turning it when Dr. Slaymaker put her on her belly and "practically" stood up when he pulled her up...she is doing so well on her developmental milestones! She even did well during her shots but the afternoon/evening was a little rough on her. We just love her so much and can't get enough of her! Plus, she is doing so great at the sleeping thing...goes down around 9 or 10pm and usually only wakes up once around 3am or so and then back down until morning! Hope that I didn't just jinx us by saying that...

8 weeks!

Hanging out on Saturday! She has officially "found" her hands, she is sucking on them, putting them in her mouth, it is so funny!

On our way to the T-Bones game on Friday, she did great in the Bjorn.
Headed home after the game, she slept through most of it, which was a surprise considering that fan with the cowbell right behind us!
Here is a cute video of tummy time from yesterday!

Monday...Funday!

So, I think Blakely had a great time with her Aunt Brandi and Grandma Anson yesterday! Sounds like she did lots of playing and loving...Thanks so much for helping out!

She was pooped after a day of fun with Aunt Brandi and Grandma Anson.
Here she is today, full of smiles and fun...

Love that face so much!!!

  • So, heading back to work yesterday wasn't as bad as I had anticipated...things went really smoothly in the morning and we were all ready when Aunt Brandi got here...but on my way to work I realized that I had forgot my pumping parts...ah...so I had to head home mid-morning to grab those! Spent the day going through hundreds of emails and doing lots of online trainings. It was great to see my co-workers and I think that they are glad to have me back. I thought about Blakely every few minutes but I knew that she was being well taken care of by her Aunt Brandi in the morning and Grandma Anson in the afternoon.

  • Neal beat me home yesterday and was holding her and when I went to hold her, he said "I have not held her all day" and I just stared at him until he handed her over...I think we are going to fight over her at night! haha!

  • I didn't even cry until later on that evening when we were talking about my day and if I missed her...umm...of course I missed her and wished that I could be the one feeding, playing and loving on her all day...such a contradiction in feelings of wanting to head back to work and also wanting to spend more time with Blakely! I will be working on finding that balance.
  • So, on Wednesday her "aunties" Abby and Kristen are watching her and then on Thursday "auntie" Kristin is...she is going to have a fun week!
  • Weighed her today at class and she is up to 13 lbs, 12 ozs!

7 weeks!

So, here is a cute picture of Blakely HAPPY with a bow on! Right now, she is loving the swing (thanks Lisa!) and has fun during tummy time. She likes looking in the mirror at herself, she is smiling a ton and beginning to "talk" to us more! She is doing really well holding her head up and tracking objects and faces. I am getting ready to head back to work part time tomorrow and feel so lucky that friends and family are able to watch her the next 3 weeks until she begins at daycare....we are so LUCKY! Also, this weekend Neal was on-call so I have been working on her baby book and my mom and I have been working on projects for Blakely (pics to come soon)! My mom stayed with us last night and got up with her around midnight so I could get some sleep before heading back to work on Monday and I ended up getting 6 hour stretch!!!! yeah-thanks Mom-we had fun with you this weekend!

6 Weeks, Pool Time & lots of smiles!

Lookin cute!
Bow on...check
Not crying yet but thinking about it!

Crying...check!

Smiles...love them!

Smiling at Mommy

Big Smile

So cute!

Hanging with Avery

New bib...Lord knows we need tons!

Getting ready to head to the pool
Managed to squeeze her into her 0-3 suit...
"fat guy in a little suit" song kept running through my head
but with "fat baby in a little suit" lyrics!
Sun hat!

She feel asleep right before we went in...

Started off easy in the shallow end...

Daddy dipped her in a bit more...

No crying yet...so we decided to be brave and try....

the deep end with Mommy!

and she LOVED it!

not a cry was made, she just kept looking around...

Still a little sleepy!

It was a little bright still, so we put on our sun hat!

Drying off with her ducky towel!

So, pool time was a success...we will have to try some indoor pools this winter when she is a bit older! I think that she will really love it!
Blakely has been sleeping pretty good the past few nights, goes down around 8 or 9pm until 3am and then up again at 6am, so that is good for me!
The dogs are doing so well with her and have been getting a little bit less curious and just letting her be.
Getting lots of smiles and she is so close to starting to coo...and ahh...She does such a great job during tummy time and holds her head up so good! I have been going through her clothes, already some that she had grown out of...and some I am worried she might never get to wear (she might be wearing some long sleeves and pants soon)! Hopefully fall and cooler weather comes early this year!
Getting my schedule set to head back to work, sad but also sorta anticipating getting into the groove of things again.

Recent Happenings...

Here is another picture of Blakely's favorite pose...guess she does not like tutu's either!

Here is a picture to prove that she is not always crying in her tutu's and bows

Another tutu that we picked up for her when she is older!

Out to dinner at the Grandparents...

Cuddling with Grandpa Anson

Tummy Time with Daddy

Smiling in her sleep on a walk

Here is Neal at the park giving the dogs some exercise or are the dogs giving Neal some exercise? Check out the look on his face, I laughed for about 20 minutes when I saw this one...

Look at those long, beautiful eyelashes

The doggies at the park

Daddy and Blakely

Trying out more bows...no crying! Yeah, progress!

BIG blue eyes!

Lounging around..

Chillin in her Boppy!

I can't believe how big and grown up my baby is getting to be, she is smiling more and more! She is also more alert and attentive, she does so well during tummy time holding her head up and tracking objects (she especially likes to follow our faces)! We ended up getting into the daycare down at Children's Mercy (which is a small miracle considering that there wait list is over a year long!!!!) so she will be starting there around 12 weeks! We really liked the center and were able to meet her room teacher (who promised to make her color there for her bottles, toys, etc...PINK)! Neal will be able to stop by during his lunch sometimes and visit her and it is not too far from my work, either! So, I think overall it will be a good fit (fingers crossed!) We also went to a infant massage class this week, she loved it and it will helps with bonding which will be so nice to do after work and daycare as part of our night time routine. Next up baby sign language....
