Snow Day

We have had lots of snow and so Blakely and I decided to bundle up and head outside to check it out. She really liked playing in the snow even though it was cold. Now every time we go outside she points to the snow and says "snow!" So smart!

Mommy and Blakely

Showing her how to pick up the snow and make snowballs!
Blakely threw some snow around!
Blakely helped me gather some for a tasty snow treat!

Walking in the snow.

She loved throwing the snow up and they letting it land on her face! Silly girl!

We made snow ice cream which is snow + sugar + vanilla + milk = Tasty!

Blakely liked it...

A LOT!!!!

New Years Eve!

Originally, Neal was scheduled to work New Years Eve so I made big plans to rent lots of girly movies and get Chinese take-out then wake Blakely up at Midnight to ring the New Year in with me! Well...it turns out Neal just had to work till 7pm so he joined me with MY plans! Cheers to 2011, I think its going to be a great year!

She was very sleepy! But she loved watching the ball drop and giving Mommy and Daddy kisses then back to sleep!

Blakely is 18 months!

Look at this big girl! Blakely is officially a bonafide toddler! She is wearing some 18-24 months (just barely length wise) but most of her clothes are 2T and 3T!!!! She is so smart and learning so many new things each day. We tried to count up her words the other day but there are too many to list, well over 50. She is still sleeping 7-7 which is wonderful. She takes one nap after lunch for about 2 hours. She eats 3 meals and a couple of snacks throughout the day. Blakely spent a few days with her Grandma and Grandpa Anson and Aunt Lindsay and had a great time! She is calling my mom "Nannie," my dad "Papa," Neal's dad "Grandpa" and Neal's mom is "Nonni or I have heard her say Grandma too." She also started saying "Kyle" but with a southern accent, ha! and Kandace came out "Kandy!" even funnier!

Blakely's favorite word is "NO!" But she also says lots of other cute words. She knows all of her animal sounds, baa, moo, meow, quack, etc... she also knows a lot of her food names except she keeps calling oranges "apples!" haha! She calls all dogs Tucker but has started to realize they all have different names and says Avery every now and then. She is also really loving her Daddy and loves to play with him. If I try and come and join them she puts her hand up and says "stop Mommy." About breaks my heart but I am so glad that she is a Daddy's girl and I still get plenty of cuddles when Daddy is at work. She is very stubborn and when she wants something, she wants it THEN! She has so much personality. She is teething more and more and even getting some of her back teeth and molars. She does really well at feeding herself with a spoon and a fork and we have been working on drinking out of regular cup without a lid. When her food is warm she will blow on it to cool it down. Precious.

She had a wonderful Christmas and loves her new toys especially her kitchen and accessories. She also has been very loving to her baby doll, rocking it, feeding it and patting its back and putting a blanket on it when putting it to sleep. Maybe she is ready for a sibling? jk! She is doing lots of pretend play eating her food and feeding it to us. She repeats pretty much everything we say and has started to say her colors but usually everything is yellow or "yeawoah." She has also starting saying "I peed" when she goes potty in her diaper so we will change her. We are holding off on the potty training till 2 but I think she will do great when its time. She also really loves play-dough and her doll house. Having a toddler is exhausting but it is also so rewarding to see her learning and trying new things!

Spending time at home.

Blakely has loved playing with her kitchen, food, shopping cart and getting dressed up as a chef! She makes us food and drinks and even helps feed us sometimes.

Trying on Daddy's shoes. She is very into shoes and will get Neal shoes or my shoes if we don't have any on and will say "soos" and try to put them on for us!

Blakely is having fun playing with her new blocks from Nannie and Papa! Oh my - look at all those toys in her room!

Here are our beautiful, neglected doggies for anyone that thought we forgot about them...
Avery is so pretty!

Tucker is so handsome! Blakely loves them so much, she asks for them in the morning, she loves to help feed them and if they get in her way she says "beep, beep!" Sometimes she even points to them and says "No!" I wonder where she learned that?

Christmas 2010

Christmas Morning! Blakely was more interested in the doggies stockings than the presents Santa left for her!

Finally she went over and saw her blocks.

and her new kitchen! It was a hit!

Then she tore into her stocking. She pulled things out 1 by 1 and would take time to look at each thing. She would start playing with them and we would have to remind her that there was "more" to find.

She got a baby bottle from Santa so that she could feed her baby.

Santa got Mommy a necklace.

and Daddy a video game. He must have known that I would never buy that for Neal! haha!

After some monkey break and orange julius Blakely opened the rest of her Christmas presents from us!

She really liked the bows!

Some dishes for her kitchen.

Drinking her tea.

Cutting her food.

Neal was very excited about this present and Blakely liked it too!

Our little chef!

I would say that this was her favorite present, her Play-Dough! She is always asking to play with her "way-dough!"

Fun stuff!

Here is the Anson family on Christmas afternoon.

Grandpa helping Blakely open her present.

Tearing it open at little at a time.

She was so excited about this! I don't know what she thought it was but until her shopping cart got put together she had a blast stepping up on the base.

Blakely helped Grandpa and Daddy put it together.

Greg was taking pictures and Blakely just stood there staring him down.

Then he helped her open up her present from Uncle Greg and Aunt Brandi. It was a fur real friends pet, Chipmunk. Blakely was terrified of it but she has really warmed up to it recently and calls it squirrel and asks for it in the morning and feeds it!

Play food!

Putting her food in her cart and pushing it around.

Caught a picture of her on the run. I love the dress my mom made for her to wear on Christmas!

Random picture but I can't believe she is old enough to chew on an apple!!!!

Christmas was very special this year, we had a wonderful time celebrating as a family and creating lots of fun memories! It was magical to see Blakely's response to all the wonder of the season!
