Date night, one month check-up & a lunch date!

I had to head up to work to sign some paperwork, so I took Blakely to meet some of my

co-workers and then we went out to lunch to celebrate a co-workers birthday! After screaming her head off at my work, she slept all through lunch!

Life with a baby is getting a little bit easier each day and we are getting more confident in taking her out a bit! We go on lots of walks and she seems to like her stroller, which is great! Starting our night time routine of bath, read book, play lullabies and rock her to sleep...such a special time. I am getting used to less sleep during the night and trying to take more naps during the day. Everything was good at her 1 month check-up, still gaining weight and is off the charts! haha! I think that we might try out the pool this weekend if it's nice!

Life with Blakely is going well, she slept a 5 hour stretch last night! Don't know if that was a fluke or not! She has been really fussy the past week or so, possibly going through the 3 week growth spurt or something! Last night we went to Rassy's Graduation BBQ with Blakely and it went great! It is nice to get out and about and take her with us. Earlier this week my mom and I went up to the Legends and walked about outside and did a little shopping for Blakely...like she needs more clothes! haha! I think both Neal and I are getting used to less sleep. We still just stare at her in amazement and our conversations consist of "oh, come look at this look" "oh, look at this smile" or "she is so beautiful!" We even got to have a glass of wine and watch a movie this week, wow! I think that next week we are thinking about grabbing a movie or dinner and having Grandma Karel and Grandpa Steve watch her...still deciding if we are ready! Well, we have a very busy weekend and week coming up...going to dinner with Aunt Brandi and Uncle Greg for their b-days tonight, then my aunt and cousins will be in town Saturday, Saturday night we have BBQ with Neal's residency program and Blakely's one month check-up next week!

1st Bottle + more pics!

Here is Neal giving Blakely her first bottle, she did great! Took it right away and sucked 3 oz. right down and probably would have kept going if we would have let her! As glad as I am to have help feeding her (Neal will probably give her a bottle a day for now) and how much easier it will make the transition back to work it also made me a little teary eyed! But look how precious these pictures are...Neal was so excited to be able to feed her and the pictures show that they both loved it! So, I am happy that they can have that special time together!

So, we are going hands free with Blakely...my friend let us borrow her Baby Bjorn to try out and I have taken my sling for a test run and they worked great! Blakely LOVES being held, I wonder why??? So, having her close and still having our hands free works out great!

Life with Blakely is going well, we are still sticking close to home to avoid getting any nasty germs until she is about a month old (per Daddy's orders)! She is sleeping and eating great, just a little bit of a problem with spitting up on all her cute outfits! She is wearing some 3-6 clothes and no longer fits her in 0-3 onesies (tears from Mommy)! We had her 2 week weight check on Monday and she weighed in at 10lbs, 13 ozs!!!! My big baby girl! We just love her so much and are cherishing every moment together, it is going by so fast already!
