3 months continued...

KU Game Day!

Dinner at Kristen and Josh's
Blakely and Lulu

Trying on her new bathrobe...is it wrong that I am laughing at her crying?

All better...

Smiling at Daddy....Neal was home with her today and got her all dressed up cute in her babylegs

3 months pictures

The requisite crying picture with the bow

It's getting better...she is deciding that she likes her hat after all!

All smiles!

Is my baby really 3 months old?!?! I can't even believe it, she is changing day by day and it is just amazing. The other night while we were playing peek-a-boo she LAUGHED and shrieked! I was so glad that we could hear that! Blakely is getting so strong, when laying down she pushes to sit up and it looks like a sit-up, she also stands and puts weight on her legs and will just stand on our laps! During tummy time she has started pushing her self up, like a little mini push up. She is talking and babbling a lot more. Also she has found her toes and is moving her legs all around. Loves bath time and has been doing pretty good at sleeping, usually through the night from 10-6! Still wearing 3-6 and 6 months clothes. She is drooling a ton and always has her hands in her mouth. She is so wonderful and just melts my heart everyday! She is such a good baby and we love getting to know her little personality! Sometimes she is a mama's girl and other times only daddy can soothe her with his "daddy hold." We just love her so much!

3 months old!

Here's Blakely acting all grown up with her smiles and attempts at saying those four syllable words - "ma-ma and da-da". Still has a way to go but she is growing up fast!! There will be more pictures to come from Mrs.

Busy...Busy!

Well, it has been a busy past couple of weeks! Lots going on...I have been swamped at work but Neal has had a pretty light month so far...he had a couple of days off last week and had some "daddy time" with Blakely. One day I called home in the afternoon and he was like "I have not showered and I have not been able to go to the bathroom." I could not stop laughing...the joys of parenthood, she keeps you busy!
We had our 4th Anniversary this past week and Grandma Karel and Grandpa Steve babysat while we grabbed dinner..here is Blakely with her Grandma Karel.

Neal and I on our way out...we tried to get a family picture with Blakely, but she was having a rough night! We had a good time out and only spend 3/4 of it talking about Blakely!

Some cute pics...I can't get enough of those beautiful eyes!

and that SMILE!

We got a tiny, little bow in her puff of hair.

Playing with her phone...pretty sure she is going to be a talker!

Auntie Kandace in town for Blakely's baptism...cuddling with her lovie and Auntie.

A family picture...Neal and I were headed to Abby and Doug's tennis and golf costume party...it was tons of fun and Aunt Kandace and Uncle Matthew babysat while we went down the street for a couple of hours. Kandace has some cute pictures of Matthew and Blakely that she will probably put up on her blog...Matthew was telling Blakely all about football!

It feels like the weeks are flying by...we just love spending all our time with our baby girl. Having my Fridays off is amazing, it gets me through the week just thinking about it! Blakely is such an amazing baby, she wakes up just smiling and cooing. She is doing really well sleeping in her crib and has found her feet recently, we will walk in there is she has her feet up by her face and will just stare at her toes! It is hilarious...
Baptism pics to come.

Lots of Firsts!

Here are Blakely and her Aunt Lindsay, Lindsay was home for Labor Day from college!

Blakely on her 1st day of daycare.
Blakely and I doing infant massage. She loves it and it helps her sleep soooo good!

Trying on some of her Fall hats. Look at those big, beautiful blue eyes!

Blakely and her Great-Grandma Helen meeting for the 1st time.

Four generations of Harkens.

Neal and Grandma Helen acting silly...

Mom and Dad in their "future" rocking chairs!

Mom painting Grandma's nails!

Blakely acting silly in the car, Neal put her Mr. Whoozit on her head and thought it was hilarious...I was driving so I had no control over this!

Blakely watching us eat dinner...

Sleeping in her crib for the first time!

Lots of firsts for Blakely this week...her first road trip to meet her Great-Grandma Helen in Iowa. She did so good in the car and overnight at my aunt's house, she is such a good baby! She started daycare and has been doing well, she already has a favorite teacher Ms. Sheila...only she can get Blakely to sleep and calm her down when she is crying! I think daycare has been rougher on me than Blakely...at night we just play and cuddle. Tonight we put her bassinet in the basement and she is sleeping in her crib...I told Neal she looks so little in it! She is still growing like a weed, she is gaining more head control and really doing well during tummy time holding and turning her head. She is starting to notice if we are in the room or not and will often cry and then when we pick her up...stop crying (she just LOVES being held)! I think she is really starting to reconize us and smiles when we make lots of funny sounds..she especially likes it when I make the "ruff, ruff" doggie sound in her book! I think her laughs are right around the corner!

Surprise Visit from Aunt Kandace and Uncle Matthew!

Aunt Kandace and Uncle Matthew surprised us on Friday afternoon when we were hanging out at home! Such a wonderful surprise, they had not seen Blakely since she was about 10 days old, so she had changed so much! Blakely and Kandace got lots of cuddles in...

First family trip to church, Blakely slept through the entire service!

KU Game day!

The most adorable pj's ever....I could not stop kissing and hugging on my little monkey!

Cutie patotie!

What a great weekend with family and friends! Blakely is doing great, lots of spontaneous smiles and play time! She is so social, just loves when people are loving on her! It has been cool here so I have pulled out some Fall clothes for her, most of it is 3-6 months and some 6 months that fits her! Oh my! She starts daycare tomorrow, so we are hopeful that will go well (keep your fingers crossed for us)! This will be much harder than leaving her at home with family and friends...
