Blakely is 9 Months Old!

Here she is with her cute little smile! She smiles so big and shows her gums off! (still no teeth)

She is saying "I'm 9 months old!" Wow...I can't believe it either baby girl!

Had a little trouble keeping the stickers on this month or getting too many pictures. She is always on the move!

Her expressions just crack us up!

Trying to get her month sticker off....

Success.

Here we are at 9 months, wow - this is how long I was pregnant with her! She has been changing so much recently, it feels like each day she is doing something new!

  • Her expressions are so cute and she is now pouting, smiling, and cheesing it up (aka smiling REALLY, REALLY big). She is getting really loud, yelling and shrieking even more than before! She stills says "dada" A LOT but has added "baba" and even a "mama" in there now and then. She knows her name and turns to you when you say it, I think she is also starting to recognize what her toys/books/mama/dada and other things are.

  • She started crawling all over the place, turns and sits and then starts going again. She is pulling herself up grabbing onto anything she can find to help her, usually its one of us (mommy or daddy). She holds onto the coffee table and cruises around it. The other day as she was walking along the coffee table she just turned and started walking - the girl has no fear! She has been taking steps for a while but has really been getting more steady with them recently!

  • She is eating 3 meals of baby food a day in addition to her bottles and we have started giving her some of our food too! She will try anything and the expressions that she makes are hilarious! She also "snacks" on puffs and she grabs them so well with her thumb and pointer finger. Blakely absolutely LOVES her sippy cup and water, at restaurants we have started giving her some drops of water from our straws and she just goes nuts over it!

  • We have been going on lots of walks and playing outside now that it has started to warm up and she loves it! Blakely is a book fanatic, she will go over to her book box and take them all out and go through each of them. She loves when we read to her and will "help" us turn the pages. We went to the library for the 1st time and checked out some new books to read together. Also, she has started playing "Where's Blakely" and will hold a blanket or her clothes over her head and then pull it down and laugh...so cute! She has started cuddling more recently and will just lay her head on your shoulder - I just try and soak it all in! I just want to start bawling because I am so full of happiness when she does that.

  • At her 9 months doctor's appointment she weighed 21 lbs, 14ozs. She was 27 in. long, she has dropped to the 90%. She is just perfect, right on her growth curve! She had a little stranger anxiety with Dr. Slaymaker but generally she does pretty well with new people and places.

  • Sleeping is going well, she usually goes down around 7:30 and sleeps until 6:30 or 7am, sometimes she wakes up during the night once, sometimes twice but usually sleeps through the whole night. We are still rocking her to sleep at night and for her naps and I know that it will need to change soon but for now I just love holding her in my arms and watching her sweet face!

  • We have started wearing some of her spring/summer clothes and they are 12-18months and fit just right! She still wears a size 3 diaper but we are getting close to moving on up to 4's!

  • She loves spending time with her grandparents, aunts and uncles - she is so lucky to have so many people that love her so much and she loves them too! Her face just lights up when she sees them and that just warms my heart too!

Fun times around town and at home!

Trying on her new outfit...this girl will never forget her name! ha!

and neither will anyone else from this view...

Blakely's first time in the big girl cart! She loves it...just getting sleepy after looking all around Target and reaching for everything on the shelves!

Dress up time....this is one of my old sweaters! Go Carebears!
Her summer swimsuit
One of my summer dresses, I think that this will be perfect this summer for her to wear!

Standing up in her crib! She is pulling herself up now and every morning when she wakes up she is standing there just smiling at us!

Or sticking her tongue out at us...

or laughing, my favorite!

At the Fairy tale exhibit at Crown Center! Blakely and I met up with some friends and their babies!

This picture cracks me up, they are all touching each others shoulders and looking at one another!

Baby Sign!

Getting ready to head to our last class! Neal was off so he could go too!

Practicing "ball" with Daddy.

Playing with or should I say "eating" the parachute!

Lovin on Bee-bo! He is the baby sign mascot!

Blakely LOVES Bee-bo! Whenever we put on the baby sign DVD and Bee-bo comes on she starts yelling and bouncing up and down, so funny!

Lots of love for Bee-bo! Baby sign was fun, I don't think she uses it on purpose yet but it is something that we can keep working on now that we have the info. It was nice to be around other babies her age during the classes. I like doing the signs and hope that it will help Blakely's language and communication!

8 Months Old!

My little 8 month old baby! She has enough hair that I can put a "little" clip in!

Starting to pull up on the crib! Such a happy girl.

Crawling around her room.

"I want that toy and I can get it myself!"

Such a big girl!

We had such a great day at home today, we stayed in and did nothing but play and cuddle!

and I got lots of these precious smiles!

No teeth yet! But, we have a crawler! She is all over the place, I tried to deep clean the floors today since she is crawling every where and I don't know how much dog hair a baby should eat! ha! I had left her playing in her room and went into the kitchen to get something and I looked down and there she was, following her mommy! and I "think" that I heard a ma-ma today but it could have been on accident. She wants to be pulled up all the time and reaches out her arms for you, I LOVE IT! Since, she is feeling better from her ear infection she has been such a sweet, happy, smiley baby! She is babbling and laughing a ton, trying more and more foods (she liked avocado!), feeding herself puffs/cheerios and really starting to play with her toys. She has started to wear most of her 12 month clothes and even some 12-18 month! She is still waking up at night but has been stretching it out a bit more so we are working towards sleeping through the night again. She LOVES her sippy cup, it is so cute when she tries to drink from it! When she is eating, I think that she might be starting to sign "all done" when she waves her hands or it could just be a coincidence. She just makes us smile and laugh all the time, sometimes if we just start to laugh she will start too!
