31 weeks!

Here is the info from babycenter.com for week 31: This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. She's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up.

Sure feels like more than 4 oranges! haha! My ankle/foot swelling has been better this week, I have been walking every night and trying to stay active. I have pre-natal yoga tomorrow night which I am excited about! Sleeping is going okay, she is really active late night.

Here is the belly bump pic for week 31, holy big belly!

Here is a picture of the first thing besides her furniture that we (i.e. Neal) has put together for her, her bouncy seat! So cute...

Not too much more going on, Neal has been sick and sleeping on the couch due to his constant coughing! He went to the Dr. on Tuesday and his flu test and chest x-ray came back okay! So, he just has a nasty virus...I am praying that I don't catch it! He just finished up his ER month and will be moving into the PICU (pediatric ICU) in May, hopefully it won't be too rough! He said when he left the ER today EVERYONE in the waiting room was wearing masks, he thought it was comical...

Baby Shower and Bump Pics!

Wow, I am such a lucky girl! My baby shower was so nice and thoughtful, from the food to the games to the dessert and decorations, I LOVED it all!!!!

Here I am with the two best hostesses ever!

My present from Avery and Tucker!

I love my onesies....they are awesome! Now Kandace needs to teach me how to make some too!

One lucky baby to have both her infant car seat on the right and her convertible for when she is bigger on the left, or should I say lucky parents! Thanks everyone!

Here is a sneak peak at the curtains that my mom is making for the baby's room, not with the drapery rod but you get the idea, I think they will tie it all together! Thanks Kandace for finding the perfect fabric in Pittsburgh!

Belly Pic for Week 30!

Well, I have a new and very unwelcome pregnancy visitor, swollen feet/ankles/calves! I can't even see my ankle bones anymore, boo! I guess I am almost to 31 weeks and have been pretty darn lucky so far so I am not complaining too bad!

We are doggie sitting Zoe this weekend and here she and Tucker are chillin by each other!

Here is cutie patootie, Zoe!

Where is my momma, these big doggies won't share their bones? No really, she is having a good time and they are sharing their bones pretty well.

Well, that's all folks! Trying to take it easy but still stay active...I ended up taking the day off before my next Dr's appt and Neal is off too, so that will be nice. I also plan on getting a massage at Bijin that day...so I should be nice and relaxed with a normal b/p for my appt!

30 Weeks!

Here is the info from babycenter.com for week 30:

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

We have so much to share...but I will have to post the rest tomorrow, getting tired tonight. There are lots of fun pics from our awesome shower and a belly pic.

We had a Dr's appt. on Tuesday, went pretty well for the most part, baby is measuring right at 30 weeks and her heartbeat was 155 but my blood pressure was a little bit high again. So...the Dr. said that if it is high again in 2 weeks when our next visit is we will talk about possible work restrictions, bed rest, etc....Yikes! So, here's to hoping that it stays down because I just don't know how that would work! I am going to be taking it pretty easy the next few weeks, going to yoga and generally not stressing about anything!!!!

More to come later....

3D/4D Ultrasound Pics!

Here are just a few of the pictures that we got, we have over 80!!!! The baby did such a good job, after a little bit of jostling by the tech she moved right where she needed to be and posed...she was moving her arms, sticking out her tongue, grabbing the umbilical cord and touching her feet! It was so awesome. Also, we have a DVD of the whole thing and Neal will post some clips of it soon! We both think it was the best $ spent so far on the baby...we also double confirmed that she is a Blakely not a Blake! haha!

Week 29!

Here is the info from thebump.com for week 29: Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments.

And I am feeling those kicks and jabs plus a lot of knees, elbows, and feet poking out from my stomach! Weird! Starting to feel a lot more Braxton Hicks, but not regular or too many, so that is good! My Dr's appts. have moved to every 2 weeks, so we are excited to hear her heartbeat more often. I have my first baby shower this weekend and I am so EXCITED!!!!

Week 29 bump picture!

Here is Neal and I on Easter!
The dogs got Easter baskets this year because I thought that next year we will be more focused on the baby's Easter, so here is Tucker looking for his basket...he was much more interested in finding the bones that were already in the yard!

Avery did a much better job and found her basket right away! She is so smart...and spoiled!

They both got new KU collars and some bones.

and here is Neal with his basket....I got mine later and forgot to get a picture.

28 Weeks!

Here's the info from babycenter.com for week 28:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

So, we've had a lot going on this week. Kari went for her 28 week appointment which was pretty detailed. She had to take a test to see if she has gestational diabetes and the results were good - not diabetic! Also, she got to hear her heartbeat again - 150 and strong as ever! Because of her blood type, she also had a shot called Rhogam. I accidentally slapped the spot where she got the shot... it must have hurt because she slapped me back ;).

The baby's been having more hiccups lately. We've started reading to her at night and her favorite already seems to be "Goodnight Moon". We're really looking forward to the upcoming 4-D ultrasound where we get to see her face up close and personal!

You have to be kidding me!

So, Trista from The Bachelor named her daughter Blakesley Grace which is pretty darn close to Blakely Grace, which is the name that Neal and I liked! ahhh! Might have to re-think the middle name!

Trista and Ryan have a daughter!!!
Trista and Ryan Sutter have a baby girl, Blakesley Grace Sutter! She was born Friday April 3rd, and delivered by c-section at 1:23 p.m. Blakesley Grace weighed in at 6 lbs., 2 oz and is 19 inches long. The Sutters also have a son, Maxwell ‘Max’ Alston, 20 months.

Week 27!

Here is the info from babycenter.com for week 27:

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

I think we felt the hiccups for the first time on Monday morning, I could barely feel anything and Neal is the one that noticed that they were rhythmic but barely noticeable! I am going to start listening to some classical music and reading to her at night, so she will be as smart at her daddy! I am getting really excited for my upcoming shower and 3D ultrasound! So much to look forward to....
