Here's the info from babycenter.com for week 28:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
So, we've had a lot going on this week. Kari went for her 28 week appointment which was pretty detailed. She had to take a test to see if she has gestational diabetes and the results were good - not diabetic! Also, she got to hear her heartbeat again - 150 and strong as ever! Because of her blood type, she also had a shot called Rhogam. I accidentally slapped the spot where she got the shot... it must have hurt because she slapped me back ;).
The baby's been having more hiccups lately. We've started reading to her at night and her favorite already seems to be "Goodnight Moon". We're really looking forward to the upcoming 4-D ultrasound where we get to see her face up close and personal!
