Hanging out at home with a sick baby!

Ahhh...how sad does this look??? Look at that pout!

Practicing her mad standing skills.

A little head tilt with the standing! Loves it!

Some practice crawling...

Riding her her Lion around the living room.

A spin on her rocking lamb! It was a very busy day for such a sick little baby!
Neal took her to the pediatrician on Monday and she had an ear infection, got some antibiotics and is on the mend! She goes after the yummy pink bubblegum medicine like it is chocolate or something, she loves it! Which I guess is not a bad thing! She unfortunately passed along some of her illness to Neal and I and now we have the sickies. So, in other exciting news Blakely has started crawling FORWARD! Neal saw her go all the way across the rug and I have seen a couple of crawls forward! Also, she is standing BY HERSELF holding onto her toys/couch/chair/activity center! She is getting more mobile every day, yikes! We need to get the house babyproofed, stat!

Our Little Valentine!

Momma made Blakely a Valentine's Day tutu! Yeah-I am so proud of myself for making something for her! I also tried to make a KU tie blanket for her to play on but that did not turn out to well (just a tad mis-shapen, I don't know what happened?!?!), so I am going to try again this weekend with Kandace and my mom's help!

Her new "thing!" She opens her mouth so big smiling!

Crawl baby..crawl!!!!

Here is the new duckie bath that we had for Blakely and we thought that she would love moving up from her baby bath to this...but

we were WRONG, very wrong! Every time we even try to put her in it, she FREAKS out!

His nose even squeaks! I have no idea why she hates Mr. Duckie so badly! So for now, we are back to using her infant tub until she is steady enough for the big tub alone!

Opening Valentine's day gifts from Mommy and Daddy!

She likes her new trumpette tights from Target - I am so glad that they have them at Target now, so much more affordable!

A hat to go with her new crawler outfit!

Adorable, look at those lips!!!!

Playing with the tulle and helping Mommy make her tutu!

Umm...or just making a mess!

This is one of my old dresses or maybe Kandace's, we aren't sure but it sure is cute and was perfect to wear on Valentine's day with the hand sewn rosebuds on it! My guess that it was mine because I doubt my mom had time to make something like this by the time Kandace was born and she had two little kiddos running around...lord knows...I don't have the time with one!

Blakely's other new "thing" she is tilting her head at people and then if they do it back, she cracks up! ha!

Missouri Wine Country!

Here is a picture of the bungalow that we stayed in on our trip to Hermann, MO!
Our first trip away overnight without Blakely!

The kitchen, one night we grilled steaks and ate dinner here! It was yummy!

The first winery we tried, Hermannhof!!! Yummy!

Tasting some MO wine!

Another winery, Adam Putcha! One of the oldest in the area, very rustic!

At Stone Hill, with A LOT of aging wine!

Our initials on a wine cooler.

Stone Hill

Some of the vineyards in front of Stone Hill.

Us after a whole nights sleep! haha!

We even tried the brewery in town...we were the only people in the whole place, so...

I got us some from the tap!

Neal relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of wine tasting...haha!

The bungalows are on the far left going up the hill!

The sign on the door when we got home.

Reunited at last! Blakely with her souvenir from our trip!

Card and cookies that Kandace and Blakely made for us!

We had a good time in Hermann at the wineries and it was so nice to have some uninterrupted time together but BOY did I miss my baby, especially that last night there! I just wanted to get in the car and drive home all night long...but I knew that she was being well taken care of by Aunt Kandace and Uncle Matthew! Neither Neal or I have ever been wine tasting, so I think Hermann was good place to start. The first day we got there we went to the closest winery, Hermannhof and tried some wines...I could not believe that they just poured them and poured them for you to try for FREE! But...then we ended up buying several bottles to go! While we were there we got some cheese, apples and sausage to go with our newly purchased wine, so we went back to the bungalow and had some snacks in the hot tub before we headed out to dinner! We had a great dinner out and then some more time in the hot tub...we were practically fish by the time we left! There is noting better than jumping in a hot tub when it is freezing outside! The next day we hit up a few more wineries, Adam Putcha and Stone Hill, they were good too! At Stone Hill, they had tours and showed you all around and talked about how they make the different kinds of wines, which was neat to learn about. Then we tried the chocolate store in town, cooked some dinner and hit the hot tub again! Watched a movie and got another whole night of SLEEP! It was a great time and a fun trip, next time it would be fun to go with a group of friends and rent out the whole bungalow for some fun times! Maybe next fall???

Movin' Baby

Just thought I'd add a little video of Blakely crawling backwards during a "daddy day." She's getting so big and I think she actually may start walking before she's got this crawling thing down!
