Missouri Wine Country!

Here is a picture of the bungalow that we stayed in on our trip to Hermann, MO!

We had a good time in Hermann at the wineries and it was so nice to have some uninterrupted time together but BOY did I miss my baby, especially that last night there! I just wanted to get in the car and drive home all night long...but I knew that she was being well taken care of by Aunt Kandace and Uncle Matthew! Neither Neal or I have ever been wine tasting, so I think Hermann was good place to start. The first day we got there we went to the closest winery, Hermannhof and tried some wines...I could not believe that they just poured them and poured them for you to try for FREE! But...then we ended up buying several bottles to go! While we were there we got some cheese, apples and sausage to go with our newly purchased wine, so we went back to the bungalow and had some snacks in the hot tub before we headed out to dinner! We had a great dinner out and then some more time in the hot tub...we were practically fish by the time we left! There is noting better than jumping in a hot tub when it is freezing outside! The next day we hit up a few more wineries, Adam Putcha and Stone Hill, they were good too! At Stone Hill, they had tours and showed you all around and talked about how they make the different kinds of wines, which was neat to learn about. Then we tried the chocolate store in town, cooked some dinner and hit the hot tub again! Watched a movie and got another whole night of SLEEP! It was a great time and a fun trip, next time it would be fun to go with a group of friends and rent out the whole bungalow for some fun times! Maybe next fall???
