Blakely's 1st Birthday Party Details!

I did not want to forget the details about Blakely's 1st Birthday Party, so here are some pictures so we can remember what a special day it was! I had so much fun planning this party with lots of help from family and friends! Neal and I even had a few planning sessions at Einsteins in the Village! I love that he will help me plan things and most of all make decisions about things for me! Abby gave me the ideas for red and white gingham, cherries & picnic and then I ran with it....
The welcome wreath Auntie Kandace made and then we added the welcome and cherry in the middle!

Flowers were in all different types of mason jars and even some glass milk jars from Shatto's. We used lots of daisy's, roses, hydrangeas and some Gerber daisy's!

The favors...cherry cookies for adults and bubbles for the kiddos!

Cherry Cookies up close.

Bubbles with birthday label up close.

Banner strung along the mantle with ribbon and monthly pictures of Blakely from her 1st year!

Presents! We gave Blakely a Radio-Flyer and had everyone put the gifts in or around it!

Our family.

Blakely in front of the sweet table with a balloon, she loved the balloons.

Up close of the sweet table, we had cupcake with cherries on top and cherry pie along with lots of cherry candies such as; cherry sours, cherry sour balls, cherry twizzlers and very cherry jelly beans. Also, put up snacks for the kids - animal cracker, goldfish and Cheerios. We had take out boxes so everyone could take some treats to go! Strung across the table with the banner that I had lots of help making -but I LOVE how it turned out and plan to use it every year for Blakely's Birthdays! I also hung some 1's and Happy Birthday cut outs from the chandelier.

Table outside. I ran out and got some water bottles and filled them with cold water so people could "mist" themselves! It was a hot afternoon! Put up red paper lanterns under the umbrella and had a bucket filled with towels, sunscreen, bug spray and baby water diapers for the pool!

A shot of the backyard, hung paper lanterns in the trees and had a net set up to play games. I also set a bucket full of outdoor games next to the net.

Put lots of water in my parents old radio flyer!

One of the outdoor tables with the red/white gingham table cloth and flowers!

Another shot of the backyard with the pool and picnic mat. Also, tied balloons along the fence!

Had lots of bubbles all around for the kids or adults to play with.

Lots of bubbles from the bubble machine.

The food area. We had sliders, sandwiches, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella skewers, orzo pasta salad with dried cherries, veggie trays, kettle chips, a bowl of cherries, fruit salad and cherry lemonade. I put all different types of cherry pop and cherry kool-aid for the kids in the cooler along with beer for the adults. Also, don't want to forget the time that Kandace and my Mom put into tying the silverware and polka dot napkins - they ended up looking perfect!

The cherry lemonade - Matthew made it and made sure that it was measured out just right!

Blakely loves ice and had fun playing in the pop cooler!

The chalkboard welcome sign outside that Neal made! I had this very specific idea in my head of how it would look and Neal made it exactly how I pictured it! One of my favorite parts of the party! We loved reading the sidewalk chalk Birthday messages that everyone left for Blakely!

The cake set up! Auntie Kandace made her 1 b-day hat, love it! Her bib coordinated with her cherry outfit and I LOVED how her smash cake turned out with the different color of polka dots! Red, lime green and pink - the party colors!

Getting ready to go for it!

She took little nibbles of the icing at the beginning!

and then started to go for the cake! Yummy!

She loved getting messy and eating up her cake!

With Mommy and Daddy!

A shot of friends and family at the party!

The babies trying out the pool!

Getting a picture of the kids at the party, lots of boys! I think Blakely was the only baby girl there - here she is hamming it up!

She crashed and went to bed, could hardly stay awake to drink her bottle!
