All About Blakely (2 1/2 years old!)

Blakely is 2.5 years old! Over the last 6 months she has changed so much and is not our baby anymore - she is a little girl! The biggiest change is that she is a BIG sister! She loves her little sister so much! Every day she wants to hold Amelia and kisses her about a million times. She is so helpful and will get Amelia her paci if she is crying. She also reads to her, rubs her tummy and shares her toys with her!

Blakely is little Miss Personality!!! She is so funny and makes us laugh all the time. She tells Neal and I that "we are best friends" and it is precious. But, pretty much everyone is her "best friend" according to Blakely! She loves to have her nails painted and Daddy does a great job, he started a new trend doing every other color on her nails! She is also VERY into princesses right now! We has started watching some Disney movies but also have some princess coloring books and stories. She loves watching movies and cuddling up and getting "warm and cozy" while we watch the movie. We also have a princess CD and she always wants to listen to the Belle song.

Another big change is that she is potty trained! She did such a good job and it went much better than I ever expected. She is wearing size 3T and some 4T. Blakely is letting me do her hair more and more and has started wearing more bows and asking for pig-tails (the cutest!). She wears a size 7 or 8 in shoes and is OBSESSED with her shoes. She is very picky about which ones she will wear each day. She is still a great eater and will pretty much eat anything especially veggies and fruit but she loves sweets. She goes to bed around 7:30 or 8pm and sleeps till around 7ish. We have a pretty good nighttime routine of dinner, play time, bath, stories and bed. She doesn't let us rock her much anymore and will usually just ask to go in her crib. =(

She absolutely loves her family and talks about them all the time from her grandparents to her aunts and uncles - She adores them all! Her personality is really starting to come out and she is so much fun! She is independent and wants to do things herself and gets frustrated if we try to help. She is also very loving and sweet and really cares about others. She says the funniest things, its so neat to see her little brain working and figuring out everything. She is such a Daddy's girl and they have so much fun playing and spending time together building forts, wrestling, playing with her dolls, coloring and doing play-dough.

Blakely wants to read books all the time, she even reads them to herself and makes up stories to go along with the pictures. She always picks the long stories to read before bed. =) She has started asking us "why?" to things we say and it just keeps going on and on and we do our best with the answers. She can count to at least 10 and sometimes higher. She can say her ABC's and is really into doing puzzles and painting. She recognizes the letter B and a few others! She has started drawing pictures of people with faces, arms and legs.

Here she is cuddling with Simba. She has me pat-pat his back and make sure he is covered with the blanket. She also pretends to be characters from the "Lion King" and assigns us roles. Sometimes we are Simba or Nala or Simba's Daddy.

She also really likes "Wonder Pets." She got Tuck, Ming-Ming and Lenny and for Christmas and they also sleep in her crib with her all lined up. Mommy also pat-pats them at bedtime. She usually watches "Wonder Pets" or "Yo Gabba Gabba" while she eats breakfast in the morning.

Her princess slippers. She looks so grown up!

Next up...a BIG GIRL BED!
